How tight should I stretch the Shapelet band?
NOT TIGHT! It should be relaxed or have just a slight bit of tension.
If my Shapelet band broke in the oven, what did I do wrong?
Most likely, you stretched it too tight around the pegs. Try again and make sure to use the correct size of Shapelet band for your shape. You also might need to adjust the pegs to reduce the tension. Be sure to check all the pegs because some sections might be tight even though other sections are loose.
How do I keep my Shapelet bands from getting twisted?
After you finish your Shapelet band design and before you put it in the oven, make sure that you have untwisted it between each peg.
How many pegs do I need to use for my design?
You only need to place pegs at the corners or turns in your design. Straight sections do not need pegs.
Where are the design templates?
To see a design template, click on the Gallery button. Select the category or categories of shapes you want to view. When you see a shape you want to try, click on the small star and it will open the Shapelet design tool. Here you can edit the shape or click Print to print a template.
Do I have to use a baking sheet?
A baking sheet is optional. The pegboard and pegs are rated to withstand the 225° oven so they will not melt during normal use. But if they fall onto the burner or you forget to take them out before baking a pizza, then they will melt and make a mess. And don’t forget to have an adult help with the oven!
Why are there 3 different sizes of Shapelet bands in the package?
There are different sizes so you can make different types of shapes. For simple shapes use the smaller Shapelet bands. For more complicated shapes with lots of turns use the large Shapelet bands. This will keep the overall size of the Shapelet band just right to fit on your wrist.
Can I make more than one Shapelet band at a time?
You can make up to 5 of the same shape at once. Just stack them on top of each other. You may need to gently peel them apart if they get stuck together in the oven.

What is a shapelet band?
Bri, Shapelets are special rubber bands that can be used with our design system to create custom shapes and bracelets. After designing a shape, you simply bake it in the over for 10 minutes and let it cool. You can make letters, numbers, shapes and more… Anything you can imagine!
